Train up a child the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it. Meaning whatever we impart to our students when they are young it would affect them when they grow old. Having a passion and empathy to students would encourage and inspire the students to learn and pursue education. Teaching them the principles of education, physical, intellectual and moral that would bring them into a successful and good leader or productive in the improvement of a better society in the future. As a beginner in the education industry I was overwhelmed about the existence of so many aspects to teaching. I thoroughly enjoyed my time in learning and understanding the concepts in special education especially some of the characteristics of students who seem so normal however we misunderstand them to be having a behavioral issue. This course has helped me change my perspective towards children with special needs and created a wide awareness of how these children need to be handled when faced with difficulties. I am very happy I took up this course and look forward to a successful time with children with special needs.

This is my second on line course, I enjoyed studying at my own pace. I found the course very informative and detailed compared to my 1st course. Also assignments were additional information to the existing content. I personally liked the assignment on integrating 3 subjects on a single topic.(I chose colours in nature) Also the technology module was interesting as we are the digital immigrants, it provided adequate information on how to incorporate technology in classrooms. Also the website information is appreciated. It will definitely be put to use once I starts teaching.
