I have always believed that a teacher's job really starts when the student is not able to learn by himself/ herself. Doing this course in Special Education has been an enlightening journey to me - from ignorance to gaining a great deal of understanding about Special Needs and from helplessness to being well equipped in handling children anxiety and struggles. Ever since I relaunched my career as an educator, I sought to be an effective and creative teacher to help students attain maximum success wherever they be. As a main teacher, I had an opportunity to work with four special children, with varied needs, over the years. However, there were several times when I was left guessing what I could have done right then to provide the best help to them. Now, I feel like I understand their problems better and have several keys that I can use to unlock the chains that deter children from progressing comfortably and from enjoying study and school.

I am very satisfied with this course and thank you very much for the games and video presentations. They are very useful concerning the explanations. Montessori teachers need to know how to introduce gently the materials to children after observing them in order to take the best decision. We have to let the child choose but we have to know the appropriate time to present a material. I am working in Hungarian Montessori Association's kindergarten (Budapest).

Course content is short and up to mark. It has covered all aspects related to pre & primary teaching. MCQs in the end of every phase helped me to test my knowledge in the respective phase.

Brief, specific and adding value to my knowledge base.The course as I have thought was immensely simple yet very effective. The materials are short and crisp.The entire ACT team is very cooperative and friendly and guide me well in every step. I would be rude if not mention the flexibility they show towards students like us. Personally speaking as a housewife and a mother of two initially I was bit nervous with the curriculum. But after each of the phases and the assignments I become easy and comfortable. The on time support of the course coordinator always beneficial when I submitted the stuffs in last moment. To the technical part the Portal is very well designed and too easy to use. Things could be reached as quickly due to the simple portal navigation and even a new commer like me could handle it so easily. The data are almost uploaded and downloaded instantly adding to pleasure of using the portal.

I enjoyed doing the course , making the utmost use of my free times. The assignments were very helpful in evaluating myself. It was fun doing the thematic teaching project section in the endterm assignment referring to various school textbooks and making up home assignments for the students. the teaching practice session also gave valuable insight about the happenings in a classroom from the teachers point of view. I am happy that I chose to do this course.

After one session as a pretend teacher, in my younger daughter's class, I was exhilarated by the comments I received. I was asked to join in, but since I didn't have the proper qualification I couldn't approach them. I've been looking for quite some time for a course which I would complete while at home. And I was thrilled to have got ACT. As a mother, I believe anyone who teaches, should have a proper understanding of the kids & the material. When I finished reading the phases on Madam Maria, the EPL, Sensorial activities, I was shocked to know how little we knew of the teachings to be followed. After completing this course, I can happily approach with confidence in knowing the teachings of Montessori.
